An Industrial or Manufacturing Engineer makes production more efficient by improving how people, machines, materials and layout work together. They focus on line balancing, capacity planning and lean manufacturing across the plant.
What the role involves
- Time-and-motion studies, work standards and line balancing
- Capacity modelling and production layout design
- Lean tools: value-stream mapping, 5S, SMED, kaizen
- Efficiency (OEE) measurement and improvement projects
- Cost-saving business cases and supporting new product introduction
What makes a strong candidate
We look for a BEng or BSc in Industrial Engineering, Lean or Six Sigma training, strong data and Excel skills, and examples of improvements that were sustained after the project ended.

- Studies and reports with no implemented change
- No production-floor experience
