Warehouse & Logistics Manager

A Warehouse & Logistics Manager runs the physical flow of goods in and out of a manufacturing plant or distribution centre. They are responsible for receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, fleet or 3PL performance, and above all stock accuracy.

What the role involves

• Inbound receiving, put-away, picking and outbound dispatch
• Stock accuracy, cycle counts and stock-take results
• Managing the warehouse management system (WMS)
• Own fleet or third-party logistics (3PL) providers and delivery performance
• Health and safety in the warehouse, including forklift and racking compliance
• Leading supervisors, controllers, pickers and drivers

What makes a strong candidate

We look for experience running a warehouse of similar size and complexity, strong WMS knowledge, a track record of high stock accuracy and on-time delivery, and practical people leadership, often in a unionised or shift environment.

Red flags we screen for

• Cannot quote stock-accuracy or delivery figures
• Only office-based logistics coordination, for an operational role
• Unclear about safety and security controls (losses, shrinkage)
