Plant and operations roles command the strongest packages, with indicative monthly CTC ranges spanning roughly R15,000 at production-control level to R120,000+ for senior plant and operations leadership. Scarce engineering, GCC, automation and high-risk plant expertise can move packages materially higher. Roles commanding the strongest premiums include Production Manager, Maintenance Manager, Reliability Engineer, Engineering Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Quality Manager, Plant Manager and Operations Manager. Benchmark the full package, not just basic salary — shift allowances, standby pay, medical aid, retirement contributions and safety/risk allowances all move what a role is really worth.
