Overview

Our client, a supplier of mining and plant equipment/spares with associated businesses in the mining and industrial supply sector, is looking for a Business Development Associate to develop and grow business for the company and its associated businesses, by identifying prospective customers, generating business opportunities, and developing new and existing customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across mines, contractors, workshops, engineering and transport companies
  • Build and maintain a database of prospective and existing customers
  • Conduct customer visits and business development meetings; present products and services
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations; negotiate within approved pricing and limits
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed orders and grow existing customer accounts
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, quotations and the business development pipeline
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and report findings to management

Our client, a manufacturer in the glass/decorative products industry based in Clayville, is looking for an NPD and Marketing Traffic Coordinator to manage workflow within the New Product Development (NPD) and Marketing departments, from project initiation through to production handover. This is a high-pressure, deadline-driven role coordinating multiple projects at once. On-the-job training is provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the NPD and Marketing project matrix daily; track schedules and milestones
  • Coordinate workflow from project initiation to production handover
  • Liaise with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and follow up on deliverables

Overview

Our client, an established manufacturer of precision cutting and drilling equipment for the mining, road construction and trenching industries, is looking for a Cost Accountant to take ownership of product costing, inventory valuation, manufacturing cost analysis and related financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain standard costing structures for raw materials, components, labour and overheads
  • Review and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings and master data for costing integrity
  • Prepare monthly cost accounting reports, including variance and gross margin analysis
  • Analyse material usage, labour recovery, overhead absorption, scrap and production variances
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory valuation, including cycle counts and stock counts
  • Support month-end close, budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Partner with Production, Procurement and Engineering on costing and margin decisions
  • Support internal/external audits and drive continuous improvement in costing and reporting

Minimum Requirements

  • CIMA qualified

POSITION SUMMARY

The Junior Inventory Controller / Inventory Clerk will be responsible for tracking, recording, and managing stock levels within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must have prior experience in manufacturing inventory control and working knowledge of the Evolution accounting system.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an inventory control role within the manufacturing industry (non-negotiable)
  • Experience working on the Evolution accounting system (non-negotiable)
  • Basic understanding of Bill of Materials (BOMs)
