Your CV Has About One Job to Do: Get You the Interview

A CV doesn’t need to tell your entire life story. Its immediate job is to make the employer want to meet you.
A strong CV should make it easy to understand what you do, where your expertise lies, what level you operate at, what you’ve achieved and what you could potentially bring to the next employer.
Responsibilities are important, but achievements make a CV stronger.
Instead of simply saying “Responsible for production improvement”, consider: “Led continuous-improvement initiatives that reduced production downtime and improved line efficiency.”
Where possible, quantify the result. Clear, credible and relevant usually beats long and complicated.
